    AGIOS is the shining star of Pago del Vicario and its name is taken from the Greek word for Sint. It is a daring coupage of Tempranillo and Grenache, displaying a rich cherry color with aromas of red berries.
  • Monagos-Syrah

    MONAGÓS – SYRAH Pago del Vicario presents Monagós, created from Syrah and Grenache. Aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, it combines a fresh and balanced acidity with the predominant notes of blueberry and red currant.
  • 50-50

    Pago del Vicario´s 5O-5O coupage is, as its name reveals, an equal blend of the reigning native variety, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon. With a rich cherry color, it fuses the sweet notes of cherry liqueur with the smokiness of tobacco and grilled toast.
  • Penta

    PENTA The name Penta denotes the blend of the 5 varieties,Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Petit Verdot, as well as the 5 months it is aged in oak barrels and the 5 senses we wish to stir with this savory wine. Penta brings to mind the fruitiness of a strawberry and cream mousse finishing with a subtle note of spice.
  • Petit Verdot rosado

    PETIT VERDOT ROSÉ The answer to the search for the truly original, our Pago del Vicario Petit Verdot Rosé is, unhesitatingly, the choice of the true lover of rosé wine. This exuberant mono-varietal of the Petit Verdot grape is famed for its brilliant and intense raspberry color and its fresh and intense aromas.
  • Talva

    TALVA This elegant coupage, Talva de Pago del Vicario, is created from out best Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay grapes and is barrel-fermented which brings out a fresh and aromatic wine. Its pleasant lemon-yellow color is accompanied by a fruity and citric nose, reminiscent of Japanese plum, pineapple and passion fruit.
  • Blanco de Tempranillo

    BLANCO DE TEMPRANILLO Is a truly original inspiration, born from the heart of our native Tempranillo grape and belonging to the varietal group ¨blanc de noir¨ as it is a white wine obtained from a red grape. This Pago del Vicario wine possesses a very pleasing length and in the mouth has a subtle combination of the fruity sweetness of pineapple and the freshness of crisp herbs.
  • Corte dulce

    CORTE DULCE Our lemon-hued Corte Dulce is produced from equal proportions of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc and stands out for its freshness, fruitiness and its light sweetness. It is an ideal wine as an aperitif, whether at midday or in the evening, with pleasing tropical fragrances surrounded by a touch of fresh mint.
  • Merlot dulce

    MERLOT DULCE This 100% Merlot sweet wine is the ideal complement for dessert dishes, especially those made with chocolate or cheese.
    Merlot Dulce reveals an intense cherry-red color and is very agreeable in the mouth with hints of fig, dried apricot, raspberry marmalade and rose petals.
  • Go de Godello

    GO de GODELLO Is a white wine produced according to the Battonage method; 3 months in new French oak barrels.  It has a rich hay color that reveals green-tinted reflections. Standing in the glass its smoky notes fuse with intense floral fragrances and aromas of tropical fruit.  But, upon swirling, it releases touches of more mature fruit and its time in the barrel, hinting of toasted dried fruit, dairy and fresh-baked bread.
  • MEN de Mencia

    MEN de MENCÍA is a very clean wine with a lively cherry color of medium intensity. Its nose blends the freshness of forest berries with the scent of more mature fruits and the touch of oak barrel. In the mouth it begins pleasingly fresh, pointing to the quality of the Mencía grape and, as the wine opens, it delivers the floral notes that were first experienced in the nose.
  • MEN Selección

    MEN SELECCIÓN Enjoy this very clean wine made from a careful selection of 100% Mencía grapes that displays a medium red plum color with raspberry highlights. It begins in the mouth with a very agreeable acidity and fleshiness.  In the nose the experience is of dark red currants and the fragrance of violets.
  • 1500h Coupage

    1500H COUPAGE is a limited-edition wine produced by Pago del Vicario and is a coupage of 4 grapes from a vineyard at 1,500 meters above sea level, in the Gadór mountain range located within privileged surroundings near the Sierra Nevada Natural Park. Its color is an intense cherry red and its predominant aromas consist of ripe fruit and compotes while in the mouth it offers a creamy, almost-decadent experience.
  • 1500h Pinot Noir

    1500H PINOT NOIR The limited-edition mono-varietal 1500H Pinot Noir, like its sister coupage wine, receives its name from a vineyard that lies 1,500 meters above sea level in the Gadór mountains in Almería. Elegantly intense in the mouth while at the same time refreshing and satisfying, it radiates a wonderful cherry red color.

RESTAURANT

  The Restaurant Pago del Vicario is housed in the winey building itself which is located in Las Casas (Ciudad Real) at the 16 kilometer mark of the CM-412 regional highway. The airy dining room has views of both the winery's barrel room and the expansive vineyard of the Pago.  It's kitchen specializes in the fusion of traditional and modern cuisine where the highest quality ingredients is the rule, always in harmony with the various wines produced in Pago del Vicario

* Traditional La Mancha "grass pea" porridge ( gachas manchegas ) with marinated, crunchy-fried pork cheeks.

* Sautéed mushrooms and chanterelles, sauced with fresh egg yolk.

* Madrid-style dish of tender veal muzzle and shredded pork knuckle (optional accompaniment of chick peas).

* Roasted flaked codfish with traditional Manchego "mortero" garlic sauce.

* Spanish domestic veal loin in a bourguignon sauce, garnished with sweet and sour spring onions.

* Iberian pork loin with young garlic shoots, black pepper and wine sauce made with our sweet wines.

* Roasted rack of La Mancha lamb with roasted potatoes. (Weekends only)

* Loin of wild boar, marinated with a semi-sweet ginger and mango sauce.

Desserts:

* Braided puff pastry served warm with a coulís of red berries.

* "San Marcos" traditional cake.

* Homemade vanilla custard.

* Dark chocolate cake with a coulís of red berries.

* Homemade cheesecake using our Villadiego D.O. Manchego cheese atop a light vanilla custard.

HOTEL PAGO DEL VICARIO ****

In idyllic natural surroundings in the province of Ciudad Real, only a few meters from the famous Guadiana River, sits the Hotel Pago del Vicaraio, the 4-star hotel of the Pago del Vicario winery.  About nine kilometers outside of the city of Ciudad Real, it is located near the small town of Las Casas at kilometer 16 of the CM-412 regional highway.

The hotel's modern architecture and unique and innovative design welcome visitors and provide them with the ideal setting to explore Spain's amazing wine culture and to enjoy many other activities.

Spread between two different structures, the Hotel Pago del Vicario has at its disposal 23 double rooms and a large, luxury suite, in addition to a comfortable bar-café and a spacious and beautifully designed restaurant, located in the unique winery building.

* Thinly sliced venison prepared with a "Montes de Toledo" marinade and a side dish of hearty "pimentón" spiced puréed potatoes; served with Agios 2006 red wine.

* Our unique, homemade cheese cake, made with our Villadiego D.O. Manchego cheese, set on a reduction of oranges and topped with a bavaroise of red berries along with our white sweet wine, Pago del Vicario Corte Dulce.

Wine Friends' Club
Pago del Vicario has also founded the Wine Friends Club that offers its members an exclusive red wine, specially produced by our oenologist, Susana López Mendiondo. Each member will receive the contents of one of our winery's oak barrels, about 300 bottles with personalized labels, which they can store in our cellars and take home at any time or enjoy in our restaurant. This auteur wine differs from all the rest as it is conceived to be one-of-a-kind and unrepeatable. This requires the special selection of a parcel of our vineyard that has a specific and strategic location.  To do this we conduct meticulous and thorough studies that lead to a very select and careful harvest, making sure the grapes arrive in the winery in only the best conditions.
